Captain
The person at the helm of their MaxShip — the operator who stays in command of strategy, decisions, and direction even as AI does the labor.
Definition
Captain is MaxShip's name for the operator. Where other AI methodologies push you toward "agent autonomy" or "AGI does it all," Captain is a deliberate counter: the human stays at the wheel.
A Captain writes the brief, sets the cycles, makes the judgment calls. They hand the work to Compute (their AI agents, models, and stacks) and review what comes back. The Captain is responsible for the *theory of the business* — the Naur's shadow — that no AI can render without them.
Adopting the Captain framing is a small linguistic shift with a big behavioral one: it stops you from outsourcing your reasoning.
